Gingerbread Man

I went to Cascio's last night for a party for Josie (Jeanne's friend's daughter). It was weird going because two of our old cooks work there. Long story that I could go into another time, but in either case, one was all right and we got along but I have personal problems with his attitude and even from work environment and unsolicited customer comments noticing of a positive change in the product we are putting out now. Asking if we hired new cooks. Nope We got rid of two of them.

Anyway, the other is a weirder deal but ends with me being shorted $130. I ran into both of them last night. The first I talked to for a bit (on good terms) and he mentioned that the other was in the kitchen and should ask for my money.

The manager on duty, who I noticed a week prior at a food seminar we went to, asked me if that guy owed me money and how much and told me to go into the kitchen and get it from him (in a jokingly, serious way).

In all, it was good to see both and alleviated a lot of those feelings I had towards both of them. A lot but not all.

Anyway, the point of this all was that I was tired from lack of sleep from the last week and I had the next two days off and wanted to go home and watch Iron Man. we ended up staying way late until past the end

I hung out with Paul (Priscilla's brother and Josie's b-friend) and had a good time In the end I took part in 80 million different photographic scenarios and a thousand more after I thought there was no other way left.

I told them that we should've just done a group photo at one point and call it quits. Then I thought, even better. I'll invent a machine for parties where you show up and individually people get full body photos at the entrance and it produces a cardboard cut-out of them and they then line them up along some wall. This way, even after you leave or if you're busy talking to eating, people can take their pics with whomever they would like to, without being intrusive.

The other added benefit is that the party thrower or subject will be able to see who didn't show up. Whose cardboard cut-out don't I have?

I hate posing for pictures.

I liked Iron Man

We gave Doug a rib roast and he did a prime rib up at his cabin this weekend and gave a big piece to me and Mark. Prime rib is one of Jeanne's favorite things ever so it was all good deals and we had that for dinner tonight. Had a really good au jus sauce as well that Doug did with ox tails and had a freekah soup which I'm going to try and add to our menu at work. It seems pretty simple.
