Vampire Hands

Currently watching Mama's Boy. Jonah is in this.

Jeanne is 9 weeks pregnant and currently the due date is December 1st. Due to some coincidence, we are moving into a house next month that we will be renting to own. It's Charlie's old house that's near Hyvee off of Cass street. I drove by today and there's a basketball rim in the driveway.

I didn't read how it turned out but Earth Day was supposed to be last Saturday but they cancelled it due to the rain in the morning. Earth Day was cancelled because of rain. Anyway, it cleared up by 12 and was nice the rest of the day. It was postponed until this past Saturday which was overcast, rainy, and cold all day and night.

Justin texted me last Tuesday that his friends the Vampire Hands from Minneapolis were playing a show at O'Leaver's. On top of which, Drew and Julie are back in town for a week. Being that I've been trying to be more social these days, I forced myself to go and am glad that I did.

Really great show. Vampire Hands are really great and they're really nice guys. I also bumped into everyone imaginable that I hadn't seen for a while except for Brendan.

Drew, Grant, and Nate stopped in to work on Saturday on their way to see Justin and Nicole's son. I still need to get over there and see him and them.

Me and Grant were talking about how shitty it is now that Chuck Norris has become a household name with bros and that Chuck Norris joke books are available at the indie-rock headquarters, Urban Outfitters. We used to joke about him and Dennis Wilson years ago and have now resorted to the Hulk as the new Chuck.

Shawn and his wife, who own the comic book shop across the street, came in for brunch on Sunday and I told him that when Lou Ferrigno comes to town (May 2nd at Krypton Comics), we'll abduct him and bring him to his comic book shop. I thought about bringing some Fantastic Four comics to him and have him sign under the Thing. "Can you sign it, 'It's clobbering time!'?"
