No Train. No Life!

I'm watching the Oscars and they just showed a Cadillac commercial and it was the Pogues' "Sunny Side of the Street."

Rollins just posted something on his site about a Cadillac commercial.

Is Rollins dating Garafalo? That'd be awesome.

"...what's real?"

Just listened to "To Russell, my brother, whom I slept with."

Funny shit. I'd never listened to Cosby before but it's good. I don't like stand-up and his isn't. It's along the lines of Rollins and Smith where it's just funny, interesting story telling. Or I should say that they're along the lines of him.

I'm debating whether or not to order CD's. I have some dollars to do it, but I also should wait until I get hired on at the new company. It just sucks not having new stuff and radio isn't great for all the obvious reasons. We started listening to hip-hop stations but that soon got boring as they only play "Irreplacable" I think it's called. The one that goes, "...I can have another you in a minute..." The other 10 songs they play are songs with Snoop Dogg on them and none of them are his songs. And of those 10 songs that aren't his but he's on it, none of them are the John Legend one or the one with B-Real, hence there are at least two other songs out there with radio play potential and if he becomes so inclined to make a song of his own, then it'd be like having a Snoop Dogg radio station, with Beyonce every once in a while.

So we're stuck in Omaha for another day due to the weather, which is fine by me. Watched, and recorded to minidisc, Evening With Kevin Smith 2. Of course it was good.

"...and then there's PiL."

After a long and arduous journey and time spent trying to work things out with our company and nothing ever happening except being disrespected and, basically, told we have to deal with our situation and that's that, we decided to switch to a new company. Even after turning in our two week notice, we were given shit and had a hard time doing that.

Well, no matter what they had to say, we were unhappy after being lied to over and over again and not being respected nor trusted and unlike our previous LA experience, we found a way to get out of our current situation and so after the ridiculously, lame-ass don't-quit-intervention, we quit.

The shitty thing about it was that, in yet another situation we tried to get out of, we had to turn in our truck in Denver, hence having to find a way back. Wanting much more to rent a car than to take the ever dreadful Greyhound, we had to take the Greyhound because for some dumb reason, no car company (at least through the handful we looked through) rents cars one way out of state.

So after we were finally released from our company, we walked across the street to the cab terminal to get a cab to the station.

We got to the Greyhound station around nine in the morning. The next bus to Omaha leaves at six in the evening. No problem, we'll just sit and read and do crossword puzzles and one hour later I'm bored as fuck so I decided to get a locker there and go to the 16th Strett Mall. I heard there's a good bookstore and some awesome restaurants and I wanted to get a couple of beers and just hang out.

Long story short is that on the way back, I noticed a brewery that we were standing next to while deciding which direction we should take through the mall. We went in the direction of three Starbucks, two Subways, and the garden variety of Anytown USA strip mall stores, and the business area. We ate in the business food court since I couldn't find a place with beer that didn't look like I would need to take out a loan for a pint.
